ERS: Becoming A Global Leader in Restoration
We are thrilled to celebrate Ecosystem Restoration Standard (ERS) on their latest funding round—a monumental achievement in their mission to restore 1% of the planet's surface by 2030. With over 150 projects in the pipeline, ERS is setting a global benchmark for community-led, high-quality restoration initiatives.
Thibault Sorret, founder and CEO of ERS, shared in a press release that “This new funding round comes at a critical inflexion point for ERS. In the last year, we’ve seen a surge of interest from both project developers and end-buyers. We need to continue investing in building a standard that can scale with the market.”
From Wildsense to ERS: Rebranding for Credibility
When ERS first approached Brighter Future, their expertise in restoration was evident, but their brand needed help conveying credibility as an organisation capable of meeting the expectations of their mission. Competing with industry giants like Verra and Gold Standard, ERS needed an identity that projected authority. After deep strategy work, the decision to rebrand from Wildsense to ERS was a turning point in their story.
With a new brand identity and culture, ERS stood out immediately, shedding the perception of a small startup and positioning itself as a leader with the credibility to set global standards.
Aaron C. Leaman, Founder of Brighter Future, led ERS through much of their rebranding process. He explains, "ERS had the drive, the expertise, and the vision, but their brand wasn’t being taken seriously. We worked to uncover the essence of their mission and reframe their identity into something that matched their global ambitions.”
Driving Credibility Through Innovation
ERS’s digital monitoring, reporting, and verification (dMRV) systems redefine restoration transparency. By tracking ecosystem recovery, carbon capture, biodiversity, and community livelihoods, ERS ensures that every project meets rigorous standards while maintaining trust in the Voluntary Carbon Markets.
Thibault shared the ways the rebrand influenced their organisation, sharing, "The rebrand was a game-changer. It gave us the credibility to engage with some of the world’s largest companies. Brighter Future didn’t just give us a new brand—they helped us tell our story in a way that inspires trust and action. Our brand is now an asset, driving engagement at every level."
Congratulations to ERS
We are honoured to have been part of this transformative journey. Your success inspires us, and we look forward to seeing your 150+ projects bring to life your vision of advancing a brighter, wilder future for all.
